Georeferenced Orthomosaic Maps

Orthomosaic Map of Shotgun House Foundations

This is a composite georeferenced orthomosaic map of the foundations of a circa 1850s shotgun house in Washington DC. It was made from a 3D model generated in Agisoft Photoscan from 225 photographs taken from a camera mounted on a pole about 10 feet above the ground. The internal accuracy of the orthomap is approximately 2mm.

Online Story Maps

Online story maps provide an opportunity to provide site visitors with a narrative about a project area's history supported by interactive map content. This is a simple example using a Civil War era map to illustrate how the landscape around Chain Bridge in Washington DC has changed in the last 150 years.
